Employee Referral Bonus Program

Montgomery County ESC is always looking for talented individuals — and you can help us find them!
Research shows, and our own experience confirms, that new hires who join an organization through employee referrals are often some of the most dedicated, high-performing team members and tend to remain with the organization longer.

If you refer a candidate who is hired and successfully completes the required employment period, you will receive a $500 referral bonus.

Referral Bonus Rules

  • All MCESC employees are eligible to participate except those at the cabinet level or above, Human Resources personnel, and managers with hiring authority over the referred candidate.
  • The referred candidate must be hired within 180 days (six months) of the initial referral date.
  • The referral must represent the candidate’s first contact with MCESC.
  • To be eligible for the bonus, employees must submit a Candidate Referral Form to Human Resources.
  • The referring employee must consent to having their name shared when HR contacts the candidate.
  • Only the first employee to refer a candidate will be eligible for payment.
  • Referred candidates must meet the essential qualifications for the position.
  • All information regarding the hiring decision will remain strictly confidential.
  • The referring employee must remain employed by MCESC through the referred candidate’s first 90 days of employment to receive payment.
  • Referral bonus payments will be issued within four weeks after the referred employee completes their first 90 days of employment.
  • Any disputes or interpretations of this program will be handled through Human Resources.
