Dental Plan Overview
Montgomery County ESC provides dental coverage through Delta Dental. This plan is designed to encourage regular dental visits and help ensure your basic dental needs are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
This benefit is contributory, meaning you share the premium cost with the employer. While you may choose any dentist, using a network provider offers higher benefit levels and discounted fees.
You may also use a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to offset dental service costs.
Dependent Coverage
Dependent children are eligible for coverage under Montgomery County ESC’s dental plan until the end of the month in which they turn 26 years old.
In-Network vs. Out-of-Network Coverage
- In-Network: Offers higher benefit levels and reduced fees.
- Out-of-Network: Coverage is based on the allowable amount for the same service rendered by an in-network provider. You may be balance billed for any amount over this allowable amount.
